AB Yachts Just Unveiled a New Sleek and Sporty 100-Foot Superyacht
AB Yachts has several sporty models in its lineup, but apparently, there was room for one more.
The Next Yacht Group brand unveiled a 110-foot superyacht on Thursday, taking the total model count to eight. The new AB 110S is a sportier version of the existing AB 110, hence the “S” designation. The newcomer is the first AB designed in collaboration with EXE Design. The Italian studio specializes in automotive design and thus has incorporated stylistic elements from cars into the yacht.
“This project was born from the fusion of automotive design language—developed to highlight the performance of the SPORT version—and an in-depth understanding of the technical and functional requirements of yachting,” Stefano Bedoni of EXE Design said in a statement. “It’s from this dual competency that a yacht emerges where the two worlds blend harmoniously and coherently.”

The AB 110S showcases a sleek silhouette with bold aerodynamic lines, a sculpted bow, and a sports car-like raked windshield. The yacht is fitted with a retractable sunroof that allows natural light to filter into the area between the helm and salon. A transparent companionway throws even more light into the interior. The yacht is also equipped with a retractable cockpit cover system comprising a collection of sliding slats that open to expand the shaded area.
To—quite literally—top it, the flydeck is fitted with a retractable hardtop that silently moves to provide shade on the helm or sun pad. Another standout feature is the “flying couch” in the bow. The raised, wraparound sofa offers both comfort and incredible panoramic views. The upper deck is also home to a plush lounge that affords yet more ocean vistas.

The AB 110S is one smooth and speedy operator, too. Equipped with three MAN V-12s rated at 2,200 hp each, the yacht has an estimated top speed of 48 knots (55 mph). That makes it faster and more powerful than the regular AB 110, which has three 2,000 HP MAN engines and a max speed of 43 knots (49 mph). AB promises “no vibrations and total engine room soundproofing,” too.
