Back for its highly anticipated 46th edition, the Cannes Yachting Festival is a staple event for both the yachting and social calendar of Cannes. As one of the leading in-water yacht shows in Europe, the Cannes Yachting Festival attracts around 700 boats each year, which are divided between two iconic marinas; Vieux Port and Port Canto. Over 100 models make their global debut at the events, one such highly anticipated model this year is Fairline’s newly designed Squadron 58.

Earlier this year, luxury British boatbuilder Fairline announced the launch of the new Squadron 58. The sporty flybridge design replaces the outgoing Squadron 53 and will be the first Fairline to feature fold down aft terraces and a beach club. Designed in collaboration with Salt Design, the three-cabin model is scheduled to be in the water by late 2020 in time to premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2023.

The renderings show a clean, elegant profile with all the right Fairline design cues, including the signature triple styling bars on the superstructure and a forward-take flybridge hardtop. Exemplifying the latest in Fairline’s cutting-edge design, the new yacht boasts an optional Beach Club package that includes a hydraulic fold-down balcony on both the port and starboard sides, a unique design for the bathing platform as well as flexible and modular seating in the large cockpit, complemented with a glass transom to enhance the connection to the water with unhindered views aft.

When not in use, the bathing platform can be used to store a tender of up to 3.3m and when desired, it remotely extends, doubling in length and allowing plenty of space for sun lovers. The beach club comes complete with a cockpit bar stools and integrated audio system, making it the ultimate choice for entertainment and relaxation onboard.

The main deck has been designed with sociability in mind, featuring an almost 360-degree view of the surroundings. The neutral interior scheme, first seen on the flagship Squadron 68, offers an elegant, muted palette featuring soothing taupe, white and cream colourway’s, accentuating the feeling of space which continues below deck with a generous headroom and natural light throughout.

The lower deck has a master cabin midships with a king-sized bed, bureau with stool and drawer storage to starboard, and a large sofa to port, while the starboard guest cabin shares the forward VIP cabin’s en-suite bathroom. At the stern, customers can add a twin crew cabin, which is accessed through a door in the transom, while engine options are twin Volvo D13-900 or D13-1000 shaft-drive engines. The Squadron 58 starts from £1.2 million (about US$1.63 million) excluding taxes.
