Fubo Inks Olympics Deal With NBCUniversal

Fubo TV has inked a deal with NBCUniversal to offer multi-platform coverage of the upcoming Paris Olympics to its subscribers.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the agreement comes as Fubo battles on another front against a planned sports super-streamer from The Walt Disney Company, Fox Corp. and Warner Bros. Discovery.

The 2024 Olympics coverage will be made available as part of FuboTV’s existing subscriber plans and at no extra cost. All NBCUniversal channels with Olympics coverage are included in the streaming service’s Pro plan, while the same channels, plus 4K coverage, are included in the upgraded Elite plan.

FuboTV also offered its customers access to NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games from Beijing, China. The sports streamer’s subscribers will have access to NBCUniversal’s Olympic programming, including live competition sessions that start on July 24, with on-demand viewing.

The opening ceremony for the Paris Games will kick off on July 26, with the NBC broadcast network underpinning the NBCUniversal linear TV coverage, including USA Network, E!, CNBC and the Golf Channel. On the digital side, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com and the NBC Sports app will stream over 5,000 hours of The Paris Olympics across its TV Everywhere platforms, with authentication.
