As well as a bounty of food-focused events taking place over the course of the weekend, there will also be immersive art installations, curated by the resort’s executive director of arts and culture, John Cox. With a focus on nurturing the strong community of Bahamian talents, the festival will feature exclusive previews, workshops and discussions by some of the region’s most promising local artists, as well as the chance to witness the live creation of new work inspired by the event.

“We are thrilled to debut The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival at Baha Mar, which will highlight the resort as the culinary, art and cultural destination of choice within the Caribbean,” said Graeme Davis, Baha Mar president. “This premiere event will allow us to showcase the extraordinary culinarians, as well as artistic creativity found both at Baha Mar and throughout The Bahamas joined by international guest stars.
