Ensuring guests won’t have to lift a finger during their stay, the residences come with a personal concierge who is on hand to organize everything from private chefs to specially tailored activities.

As part of the expansion, Nayara Tented Camp has also added six two-bedroom tents ideal for families that feature plunge pools filled with water from natural hot springs, and eight more stand-alone tents, bringing the total number of accommodations scattered throughout the intimate resort to 37.

As anyone who has visited will know, these are no ordinary tents. Surrounded by lush, tropical greenery, the luxurious canvas lodges are bright and airy with glossy wooden floors and comfy king-size canopy beds framed by white billowing drapes. Outside, guests will find bamboo-fringed monsoon rain showers, while the spacious bathrooms feature freestanding tubs.

The new restaurant, Ayla, helmed by talented Israeli chef Yanir Elnasi, is the perfect setting for soaking up the breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano while enjoying delicious dishes from the vibrant Mediterranean menu, as well as craft cocktails and live music.

Of course, there is also a range of activities to keep guests entertained during their stay including frog watching expeditions, guided hikes, visits to the farmer’s market in La Fortuna town, botanical experiences with naturalist guides and a trip to see Tony – Nayara’s resident sloth who lives with his family in the jungle surrounding the lodge.

Nayara Tented Camp has undertaken impressive efforts to protect and preserve the stunning natural environment, carefully building around heritage trees, carrying out extensive reforestation efforts and ensuring the tents conserve energy and water wherever possible. In addition, the eco-resort has demonstrated its commitment to helping the community by providing financial support for the nearby orphanage, Hogarcito de Ninos, and local artists in the area.
