When you’re the child of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, it’s inevitable that one day the fashion world is going to initiate you. For 18-year-old Apple Martin, today is that day – and the house? None other than Chanel, darling.

Wearing a black-and-white iteration of the house’s signature tweed skirt-and-jacket set, the teenager made her fashion week debut in Paris for Chanel’s haute couture spring/summer 2023 show.

Appearing in the front row alongside Lucy Boynton, Angèle and Sadie Sink, Martin paired the classic look with a black quilted cross-body bag and black platform loafers.

Channelling the ’60s mod girl through her hair and makeup, Martin wore a fully lined eye in black, nude matte lips and left her layered blonde hair out with a subtle flip at the ends.

“Karl Lagerfeld met Apple Martin when she was 4 years old and declared that one day she’d be a Chanel girl,” Fashion journalist Derek Blasberg wrote on Twitter with behind-the-scenes photos of Martin at the show. “It happened today!”
