Hank Korsan Styles His Top Picks From Matches Drops

Last year, MATCHESFASHION launched Matches Drops, a section of the site dedicated to exclusive sneaker releases. Obviously, our ears pricked up. Now, the British retailer is expanding the initiative to ready-to-wear collections as well. That means exclusive RTW drops only at MATCHESFASHION from some of the best names in menswear right now.

As if we needed any more tempting, the retailer has brought the latest Matches Drops collections to life in a shoot with DJ Hank Korsan. Styling some of his favorite pieces from Matches Drops, Korsan shows the possibilities of exclusive pieces from Walter Van Beirendonck, Molly Goddard, Mihara Yasuhiro, and more.

Below, we’ve rounded up the pieces styled by Korsan as well as a handful of other Matches Drops exclusives that we couldn’t resist.

Korsan showed how to pull off a white-on-white fit with finesse. Coupling these Molly Goddard pants with a clean white bowling shirt and a pair of luxury mules is a summer mood we can get behind.

Talk about bold graphics. This one’s big and a real head-turner but that’s exactly what Walter Van Beirendonck is all about.

Nothing quite beats a distressed denim jacket and this iteration from Mihara Yasuhiro passes the usual trap of looking overly pre-distressed. Even keen eyes won’t be able to tell that this isn’t authentic, years-earned wear.

Knitwear is still essential for us during spring and summer. While many store it away until fall, we say that it’s just about picking the right pieces. This peachy number from Post Imperial is just that.

Priya Ahluwalia is a young British designer who’s only going to the top. Pieces like this trench coat show her ability to modernize and refresh classic pieces.

Wait, is this a regular pair of jeans from Y/Project? Against all the odds, yes. You won’t find any sewn-in cowboy boots here. Excluding the faux cutout sections to the reverse, this is a classic, well-executed pair of timeless straight-leg jeans.

On the other side of the spectrum, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy can’t resist putting his spin on this denim jacket. Bunched material forms a spike effect for maximum attitude.
