Kendall Jenner Wears This Season’s Reply To The Micro Mini
Fresh from the runways at Paris Fashion Week and into Kendall Jenner’s closet in under two weeks, we may just be looking at this season’s answer to the viral Miu Miu micro mini.
In a series of photos posted to her Instagram, Jenner, as styled by Dani Michelle, is seen sporting the latest wardrobe piece to get tongues wagging: the Ann Demeulemeester skirt.
Designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin as part of his first collection as creative director of the brand, the skirt featured heavily in a range of colourways in the Fall Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection. With a low rise that hugs the hips and a bias-cut shape that pools around the ankles, the silk skirt is incredibly flattering—and perfect for a night out.
The model opted for the dark brown iteration from look 25 of the collection. Just as it appeared on the runway, she paired it with a matching cropped shearling shrug to attend Beyoncé and Jay Z’s Oscars party.
But Jenner isn’t the only one endorsing this particular look as of late. Just recently, at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars After Party, actress Hunter Schafer set the blue carpet ablaze in the white version of the skirt. To top it off, Schafer, styled by Law Roach, wore it as it appeared on the runway, with nothing but a single white feather across her chest.
This isn’t the first time Kendall Jenner has shown she’s a fan of de Saint Sernin‘s work. Back in January, the 818 tequila founder stunned in a custom LdSS sheer halter dress to attend Lori Harvey’s 26th birthday party in West Hollywood.
Based on a look from the designer’s spring summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection, the dress featured an asymmetrical silhouette and red laceleaf flower on the neck.
