It seems like it was just yesterday — though it was way back in January — Bally welcomed Rhugi Villaseñor as its newest creative director. And now, the brand’s Villaseñor era is officially among us. Boy, how time flies.
Bally’s Spring/Summer 2023 runway presentation, which commences on September 24 at 1PM here, is already making out to be a sight to see during Milan Fashion Week, which has enjoyed both wild and honorary moments like Diesel’s butt plugs and Fendi’s homage to Karl Lagerfeld.
On top of unveiling what Bally looks like with Villaseñor at the helm, Bally SS23 marks the brand’s first presentation in over two decades, which is 20 years in layman’s terms.
A breaking-news appointment like Villaseñor to Bally is worth breaking a viccenial runway hiatus as a mere lookbook or campaign wouldn’t do justice. No, Villaseñor’s first Bally collection, which sees the Rhude founder preserve Bally’s luxury Swiss craftsmanship while breathing modernity into the brand, is undoubtedly worth witnessing in motion on the catwalk.
With Villaseñor’s streetwear tastes and Bally’s renowned footwear repertoire, one can only imagine what the forthcoming offering will encompass. However, we won’t have to keep visualizing much longer.
Prayers and guesses will be answered as Villaseñor’s Bally SS23 runway collection makes its grande debut via livestream — basically, your front row ticket from the comfort of your bed and FROW-approved sweats.
