Plants - Scilla 1                  Plants - Scilla 2

The scilla are blooming!  Now I know spring is really here.  This little plant is such a delight.  It will naturalize, meaning spread on its own in a very natural way, at an alarming rate.  If you get it you will wonder what terrible little beastie you have invited into your garden.  It will take over a lawn in just a few years.  But, never fear!  This plant will rise up, bloom, complete its entire life cycle and disappear all before it is time to even mow the lawn!  It just provides a blue carpet for about a week that is the first welcome blush of spring.  I am happy to see it today!
