The San Cupertino-based company’s only foray thus far into headphones made many people’s jaw drop because of its price. Clearly, this was pre-Vision Pro, and compared to the other headphones on this list, it’s the most affordable. That doesn’t mean it skimps on the quality though. High-fidelity audio, active noise cancellation, and a stylish and comfortable design make this a great pair of headphones.

HiFiMan HE1000 V2 – USD 3,300

These steampunk-esque headphones are more than just eye candy, and they should be considering they cost USD 3,000. These headphones have an incredibly thin driver which is impressive along with an ergonomic design that makes them comfortable to wear for long periods. The connectors can also be replaced so that you can use them with different kinds of equipment. On top of that, the design is pretty sleek and cool.

Final Audio Design SONOROUS X – USD 4,999

Touted as the “prestige model of the SONOROUS series”, the SONOROUS X houses a 55m diameter driver with a titanium diaphragm. The machined aluminium and stainless steel used in its design make it look as prestige as it claims, and if that isn’t enough glam for you, it comes in a wooden fur-lined box. Fair warning though: it’s quite heavy

Sennheiser’s products have always delivered so if they’re making a pair of headphones worth this much, then it’s bound to be something spectacular. Just a glance at the HE-1 will make you realise that these headphones aren’t like your usual Beats by Dre (not that there’s anything wrong with Beats). One major difference is that it comes with a marble-encased amplifier with tubes and dials, so no, you’re not taking these headphones while on a run. These aren’t all just for design’s sake but contribute to the device’s spectacular sound. The headphones themselves are made from aluminium and leather, which just amps the deluxe factor for these headphones.

Focal Utopia by Tournaire – USD 120,000

These headphones taking the top spot on this list might be debatable. They’re definitely the most expensive but that’s because it has 18-carat gold on the headband with three diamonds that total 6.5 carats. These were designed by jeweller Tournaire, which is the main reason for their hefty price tag—actually, the only reason. According to Headphones.com, the sound quality is the same as the Focal Utopia 2022s, which are much cheaper (but still quite expensive) at USD 6,000.
