7 Ways to Elevate Your Superyacht Charter This Year

andBeyond
As rock singer David Lee Roth once quipped, “Money can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you a yacht big enough to pull up alongside it.” Life aboard a superyacht is considered the pinnacle of luxury, but once the martinis have been sipped, the hot tub’s appeal has cooled off, and you’ve had enough sun for the day, a little something extra can prove to be the value added that enhances a trip. That’s why a growing number of non-marine brands are creating experiences that combine with a charter or family cruise to create an even more unforgettable memory.
In the immediate post-Covid era, these experiences tended towards the extreme and fantastic, such as Berkeley Rand’s $2 million creative activations that included a trip through the lost city of Atlantis, using both a yacht and a submersible, and a pop-up Michelin-star restaurant on a sand shelf in the Maldives.
Here are 7 of the best experiences that complement yachting.

A Concert Pianist On Board

One of Charter Itinerary’s newest additions is “Memories,” conceived by event specialist GF Entertainment. Blending high-art culinary dishes and live piano music, the multi-sensory dining experience offers a range of themed menus, such as “Grandmother’s Garden” or “First Kiss,” which pair a four-course memory-themed meal with original compositions performed by Steinway artist Vincent Corver. “The unique experience is designed to trigger personal recollections for the guests, fostering profound human connections through the power of memory,” GF Entertainment founder Emmanuel Akintunde, tells Robb Report. For yachts without a grand piano, GF will transport one aboard for the event.

Eating and drinking is central to the onboard experience, as evidenced by the signature menus curated by Michelin-star chef Dominique Crenn, whose partnership with Belmond brings her farm-to-table ethos to the vessel in a one-of-a-kind experience.

The river yacht is fitted with 15 guest suites, a spa, gym, pool-deck River Retreat, interactive cooking venue, and Explorer Center. The schedule includes three-, four- and seven-night expeditions through Brazil’s Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
