Across the two VIP preview days for Art Basel, Prestige collaborated with Burberry and different art experts to offer tailored experiences for the fair’s guests, including an exclusive tour and an insightful panel discussion.

On the 26th, Prestige gave Burberry VIPs a private tour of Art Basel, a preview before the fair officially opens for the public. The two specially curated tours were led by two art specialists. Jacobo Gil Garcia brought guests around to meet artists and gallerists, who shared insights of the questions to ask and trends to look out for to learn about and appreciate art, while Anqi Li, an independent curator, brought guests along for a more curatorial approach and shared advice about collecting.

On the 27th, we invited renowned architect, avid art collector and artist William Lim to join our Managing Editor Jon Wall for a conversation about his art collecting journey, sharing insights he had gained over multiple decades. Titled Lessons Learned: Things to Know Before Buying Art in 2024, Lim explored everything from how he first began collecting and how to approach it if you’re just starting out, to whether we should be following trends, and where – or who – to buy from.
