Ford’s new F-150 SEMA Concept Is a 700 HP Muscle Truck

Ford, maker of America’s best-selling truck, wasn’t about to let everyone else have all the pickup fun at this year’s SEMA show.

The Detroit giant will show off a new upgrade package at the annual aftermarket parts show that turns the mega-popular F-150 into a snarling street truck. And unlike a lot of SEMA builds, you’ll actually be able to buy this one—kind of.

The package is part of the new Ford Custom Garage program, which lumps together corresponding Ford Performance parts into a convenient set. And if installation is handled by an authorized dealer, the upgrade is covered by a warranty as well. Ford is showing off several of these packages for the Bronco, Bronco Sport, and F-150 at SEMA, but the one most likely to catch enthusiasts’s attention is the cumbersomely named F-150 FP700S.

The limited-edition package turns the company’s most popular vehicle into the muscle car equivalent of a pickup. The display truck, or concept, showing off the package is based on the 2024 F-150 XL. Ford Performance has taken the truck’s optional 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 and equipped it with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. That single change boosts the mill’s output from a respectable 400 hp and 410 ft lbs of torque, to a ridiculous 700 horses and 590 ft lbs of twist. The upgrade is street-legal in all 50 states and is covered by warranty for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Other upgrades of note include a new cat back sport exhaust system with chrome black tips and a lowering kit with dampers.

The F-150 FP700S also comes with several exterior modifications. There’s a Ford Performance Fender vent kit, several new aero elements like a new front splitter and spoilers for the cab and tailgate, as well as unique graphics and badging. The package also includes 22-inch bronze wheels with black lug nuts wrapped in Michelin Primacy tires which help the truck look even more like a street truck from the 1990s.

Ford Custom Garage packages are available to order now from your local dealer. The automaker has yet to announce how much the F-150 FP700S costs, but Ford Authority notes that a similar upgrade set from last year cost $12,350. And if you want to see how the whole thing looks in person you can check out the concept at this year’s SEMA show, which runs from Tuesday, November 5, to Friday, November 8, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
