Gigi Hadid Opens Up About Her Relationship With Bradley Cooper
Gigi Hadid is opening up about her private yet “very happy” relationship with Bradley Cooper.
In her Vogue April cover story, published on Tuesday, Hadid opened up about dating the A-list actor for over a year after meeting at a backyard birthday party for their mutual friend’s kid and how their romance is still going strong.
“I respect him so much as a creative,” the supermodel said. “I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief. For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap.”
Hadid noted that Cooper, who’s previously starred on Broadway, has reintroduced theater to her. “Bradley has opened me up to going to the theater more, and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life,” she said.
Elsewhere in the interview, Hadid admitted that this relationship came at the right time for her. “I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential,” Hadid said, before adding that she’s found “someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve … and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word.”
Hadid and Cooper each have children with their previous partners. Hadid has a young daughter with Zayn Malik, as does the Maestro star with his ex, Irina Shayk.
While they rarely makes public appearances together, Hadid said their relationship is “very romantic and happy,” and she isn’t concerned about “sources” feeding information to the press that could be “kind of right and kind of wrong … you just have to let it go; you can’t always correct everything.”
