Sanlorenzo’s New Asymmetrical Superyacht Is Fronted by a Striking Pool
Sanlorenzo’s latest model laughs in the face of design conventions.
The SL110A, part of the Italian yard’s six-strong asymmetric line, reimagines the standard superyacht layout to create larger interiors, greater indoor-outdoor flow, and more openness throughout.
Echoing the SL106A, SL120A, and the other rule-breakers in the range, the new 110-footer showcases a novel asymmetric design and divides up space differently than the average motor yacht. Most notably, the gangways are staggered on both sides to free up space in the living quarters. “The asymmetry is not just aesthetic: it unlocks greater interior space, uninterrupted views, and a feeling of openness that transforms life on board,” Sanlorenzo CEO Tommaso Vincenzi said in a statement.
Penned by Sanlorenzo and Zuccon International Project, the exterior is characterized by sleek, timeless lines and a refined profile. The bow, typically a yacht’s working end, has been transformed into what Sanlorenzo describes as a “minimalist yet elegant retreat” with integrated sofas and a swimming pool. The stern has also been given a fresh twist, with a transparent gunwale that connects the cockpit to the ocean and a pivoting beach platform that opens to reveal a garage for both a tender and a Jet Ski. Another anomaly is that the flybridge and the outdoor lounge on the main deck have no fixed configurations, meaning both versatile spaces can be used for dining, sunbathing, or entertaining.

The interior, spearheaded by Piero Lissoni of Lissoni & Partners, focuses on connecting owners and guests to the sea by literally eliminating the boundaries between indoors and out. The bulwark on the starboard side can be pulled down to create a terrace, the gunwale can slide downwards to expand the window below, and the drop-down platforms by the lounge can be opened up for an alfresco feel.
At the heart of the vessel lies a full-beam owner’s suite with panoramic ocean views, a marble-clad bathroom, and a private entry that offers direct access to the bow and the upper deck. Below deck lie two VIPs, two convertible twin/double cabins, and a generous crew quarters with three cabins. The upscale interior decor includes dark wood panelling, coffered ceilings with resin finishes, and herringbone flooring.
As for propulsion, the SL110A can be equipped with twin MTUs of either 2,434 or 2,637 hp for an estimated top speed of 26 and 27 knots, respectively. The 231 GT cruiser has a range of approximately 1,250 nautical miles at an economical speed of 10 knots.
The best part is that you can see the SL110A in the water shortly. The yacht is debuting at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September.
