Married at First Sight New Season Deals With Show’s First Pregnancy
Married at First Sight is coming back with a shocking reveal.
On Wednesday, Peacock dropped the trailer dropped for season 19 of the dating reality series, which announced that one of the contestants got pregnant while filming. While a pregnancy reveal may not the first for reality TV or datings shows, it certainly is for Married at First Sight.
After the anonymous reveal is announced, the couples are asked in the trailer: “It’s decision day. The time has come to decide. Do you want to stay married, or do you want to get a divorce?”
Married at First Sight follows couples who marry when they first meet and then shows their relationships either progress or crumble.
The season’s official synopsis reads: “Over the course of the experiment, each couple faces the realities of marriage — moving in, merging lives, and confronting conflict — before deciding whether the foundation they’ve built is strong enough to last a lifetime or destined to fall apart. And this season delivers shocking firsts for the franchise — including a pregnancy that redefines what’s at stake for one pair of newlyweds on decision day.”
This season welcomes back experts Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Pia Holec to offer couples guidance and support as they navigate their recent marriages.
Married at First Sight is produced by Kinetic Content with Chris Coelen, Eric Detwiler, Montré Burton, Erica Kessler, Heather Crowe, Karrie Wolfe and Katie Griffin serving as executive producers.
The show premieres on Oct. 23.
