This Upgraded Chevrolet Silverado Street Truck Makes 1,000 HP

In case it wasn’t already clear, street trucks are very clearly aimed at enthusiasts

Just take a look at Specialty Vehicle Engineering’s new Yenko/SC Supercharged Silverado. The shop has taken the 2026 edition of Chevrolet’s best-selling truck, boosted its output to 1,000 hp, and swapped out its automatic gearbox for a manual.

The biggest upgrades made to the stock Silverado can be found under the hood. SVE’s truck comes with a 6.2-liter V-8, a mill that is available as an option on the factory vehicle. Butthe modified mill, unlike that found in the standard version of the pickup, features a forged steel crankshaft and rods, forged aluminum pistons, revised cylinder heads, and an upgraded fuel system and injectors. The engine also comes equipped with a high-output supercharger with a high-flow cooling system. When calibrated for 93 octane — a 91 octane calibration is also available, but what’s the fun in that — the modified powertrain is capable of pumping out a staggering 1,000 horses.

But the gearbox sending all that grunt to the rear axle will be as much of a selling point for some street truck buffs out there. That’s because SVE has changed out the 6.2-liter Silverado 10-speed automatic transmission for a six-speed manual. The shop does say who built the gearbox despite the detail found elsewhere in the build’s lengthy feature list, but The Drive suggests that it is likely an upgraded version of the Tremec-made unit found in the latest version of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and the Chevy Camaro ZL1.

The upgrades don’t stop there, either. The pickup’s suspension has also been tuned to drop it ride height by two full inches, in traditional, low-riding street truck fashion. The vehicle also comes equipped with a set of red Yenko six-piston brake calipers up front and rides on 22-inch, six-spoke forged aluminum wheels. Rounding out the list of modifications are plenty of Yenko branding, including a crest grille up front, and an optional graphic package that includes side strips.

Intrigued? The 2026 Yenko/SC Supercharged Silverado is available to order now through the Specialty Vehicle Engineering website. The performance package starts at $89,995, but that doesn’t include the cost of a new 6.2-liter Silverado, which starts at around $60,000.
