The Iconic 143-Foot Catamaran ‘This is It’ Just Listed for $54 Million
One of the world’s most celebrated cats is ready to join your fleet.
This Is It was just listed for sale via the International Yacht Company (IYC), with an asking price of €46 million (about $54 million at the current exchange rate). “Her sculptural lines, groundbreaking engineering, and bold approach to space and design make her one of the most innovative yachts I have ever been involved with,” listing agent Michel Chryssicopoulos tells Robb Report. “She isn’t just a yacht—she’s a living work of art that redefines what it means to be at sea.”
Built by the Italian Sea Group brand Tecnomar, the 143-footer was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show back in 2023. It became the undisputed star of the show, with a polarizing design that sent traditional yachters into a tizzy. It also earned top honors in Robb Report’s Best of the Best Awards in 2024, winning us over by bucking convention.
Designed inside and out by TISG’s in-house team, This Is It cuts a distinctive silhouette with long, curved lines that evoke the fluidity of sea creatures. Featuring naval architecture by British firm Lateral Naval Architects, the cat is fitted with two sleek aluminum hulls designed to improve hydrodynamic efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. The curved superstructure is also aluminum, creating a striking yet sturdy frame for nearly 6,500 square feet of full-height glass.

With an impressive beam just shy of 48 feet, This Is It offers a generous 758 GT of volume. The asymmetrical interior was inspired by the automotive world, with rich leather and Alcantara accented by shiny metallic details. Extensive glazing and strategically placed skylights add brightness and views, just like the windows and sunroof in your car do.
The open-plan layout sees social spaces defined by shapes, rather than walled divides, creating a flow between the main salon, the starboard seating nook, and the formal dining area. Above, the upper deck is home to a spa and a children’s playroom that can convert to an extra cabin when additional guest accommodation is required. Speaking of which, the yacht is outfitted with a total of six cabins for up to 12 guests and crew quarters for 12 crew. The owner’s suite is spread across two decks, offering a skylight-topped bedroom and en suite, a panoramic terrace, and a two-story vertical garden.

Heading outside, the exterior decks are home to multiple lounges, dining areas, and bars. The asymmetrical aft is a clear standout, with a giant sun pad, a huge dining table, and an unusual angular pool flanked by two swim platforms.
This Is It was commissioned by self-made Cypriot millionaire Tasos Papanastasiou in 2020, with construction work on the vessel starting in 2021. “The owner was originally interested in building another yacht, but when we showed him our designs for the catamaran, he pointed to it and said, ‘This is it!’” Signe Putna, marketing specialist at the Italian Sea Group, told Robb Report during a tour of the yacht in 2023. “He found his dream boat, and in the process, the yacht’s name as well.”
