Watch Bruno Mars’ 2026 Grammys Performance

Bruno Mars celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early on the Grammy stage, performing his new single “I Just Might” on Sunday night’s show.

The star — decked out in a red suit and headband — was backed by his Hooligans band (in matching rouge) against a glitzy heart-shaped backdrop. He had the room grooving to his three-week-old song, with the whole performance bathed in romantic hues.

Mars, who already had 16 Grammy wins to his name coming into the evening, was nominated for three more awards this year: record and song of the year as well as best pop duo/group performance, all for his “APT.” collaboration with Rosé (The latter award went to Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande during the premiere ceremony for their rendition of “Defying Gravity.”)

“I Just Might” was the star’s second performance of the night, after he and Rosé — a member of the K-pop supergroup Blackpink — opened the show with their high-energy hit. “Ladies and gentleman, big bad Rosie,” Mars yelled as Rosé gave him a kiss on the cheek and belted out the beginning of the song.

Awards aside, Mars is at the beginning of big comeback, releasing his first solo album in a decade — titled The Romantic, and led by “I Just Might” — on Feb. 27; the star is also embarking on a seven-month-long world tour starting in April. He has, however, kept busy with collaborations, on top of his one with Rosé — his Silk Sonic project with Anderson. Paak produced the band’s 2021 album, which featured smash hits “Leave the Door Open” and “Smokin Out the Window”; and in 2025, Mars’ duet with Lady Gaga, “Die with a Smile,” went on to win the Grammy for best pop duo/group performance that year.
