Tim Heywood and Falcon Unveil a Stylish New 36-Foot Custom Tender
Tenders are all too often an eyesore, but that is certainly not the case with Tim Heywood’s latest runabout. The renowned British designer has teamed up with Falcon Tenders to create a custom 36-footer with almost as much style as any mothership.
Heywood has penned countless ocean icons, including Peters Werft’s 436-foot Al Mirqab, Lürssen’s 483-foot A+ and 377-foot Pelorus, Feadship’s 333-foot Symphony, and Amels’s 292-foot Here Comes the Sun. He has even dipped a toe in the watch world, designing a pair of high-tech marine chronometers with Wempe. All of that work has resulted in an unmistakable design language rooted in elegance and simplicity. He has given the new tender that Heywood touch, delivering a superyacht’s proportions, balance, and detailing in far less square footage.
“Tim’s ability to distil iconic superyacht styling into an 11-metre platform is exceptional, and this tender perfectly reflects our shared focus on elegance, comfort, and uncompromising quality,” Mark Pascoe of Falcon Tenders said in a statement. “It is a tender designed not just to perform, but to belong alongside the world’s most prestigious yachts.”

The exterior bears his instantly recognizable sleek lines and sweeping curves, resulting in a silhouette that is at once classic and modern. The interior, meanwhile, blends comfort and design, with navy leather upholstery and rich wood accents.
Those aesthetics are combined with practicality. With a beam of just under 10 feet and a height of roughly 6.5 feet, the tender can be stored in most superyacht garages. It also offers forward and aft boarding for easy access in a variety of situations, as well as a direct entry to the cabin for guests and crew. Speaking of which, the boat can accommodate up to 11 guests, with generous seating throughout.
As for power, the tender is equipped with standard diesel engines and gyroscopic stabilizers that reduce roll for a smooth ride in a wide array of conditions. Heywood has future-proofed the design, too, leaving enough space for a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system if owners wish to add one. That would mean quieter, more efficient cruising and less emission. This could be a tender that isn’t just easy on the eyes, but easy on the environment, too.
