The New Shelby F-150 Baja Raptor R Makes 1,000 HP
Shelby’s range-topping off-roader is getting even more power for 2026.
The famous tuner just unveiled the updated version of its F-150 Baja Raptor. Two versions of the high-riding pickup are available for 2026, the more potent of which pumps out over 1,000 horses.
In classic Shelby style, the Baja Raptor takes the Ford’s beloved off-road truck, the F-150 Raptor, and turns everything up to 11. The pickup, which debuted 2024 alongside the refreshed F-150, looks even bolder than the vehicle it’s based on, thanks to its more aggressive grille and fenders, power deployable running boards, and rock guards (which will come in handy for those who actually take it off road). This year’s edition is available in a wide range of colors topped with high-contrast racing stripes and Shelby graphics. The year’s selection of hues includes Gloss Blue, Gloss Gray, Gloss Red, Gloss Silver, Gloss White, and Gloss Black. The trucks ride on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch mud-terrain tires.

The interior has also been treated to a makeover, although one that is decidedly more subtle. Each Baja Raptor with leather seat covers, carbon-fiber trim, and billet racing pedals. The cabin also features plenty of Shelby branding, including embroidered floor mats and a serialized plate.
Buyers will be able to choose between two specs. The standard Baja Raptor is powered by a tuned version of Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged Ecoboost V-6, which makes 555 hp, or 105 hp more than the stock truck. That should be plenty of grunt for even the most adventurous of off-roaders, but for those convinced they need even more power at their disposal, there’s the even-higher-performance Baja Raptor R. This model comes with a tuned 3.8-liter supercharged V-8 with a new intercooler system, billet throttle body, and Borla exhaust. Thanks to all the modifications, the mill pumps an absolutely ridiculous 1,000 hp, which is 280 hp more than the stock Raptor R.
