This EarthRoamer’s Adventure Vehicle Can Take You Practically Anywhere
Even an activity like overlanding can be done in luxury. Just ask EarthRoamer.
The Colorado-based manufacturer is currently selling a 2023 example of tis XV-SX adventure vehicle. The off-roader has some miles on the clock but still carries a seven-figure price tag, and its many bells and whistles are a big part of the reason why.
Since its founding in 1998, EarthRoamer has poured all its time and effort into building some of the toughest overlanders on the market. But while its overlanders are engineered to take you about as far off the beaten path as an automobile can go, they’re also designed to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Inside the EarthRoamer SV-SX
EarthRoamer
The XV-SX is a particularly good example of this ethos. The hulking vehicle is built on the chassis of a Chevrolet Silverado 6500HD powered by a 6.6-liter turbo-diesel Duramax V-8 mated to a heavy-duty Allison six-speed automatic transmission. No output figures are available, but that seems like a pretty beefy setup to us. Other features include front and rear Warn winches, a rear-mounted Pelican storage system, and a slide-out gear garage. It also has less than 9,000 miles on the odometer and is being resold by the shop that made it, so it figures to be in excellent condition.
Like all EarthRoamer builds, the XV-SX’s rugged exterior hides a welcoming interior living area. The adventure vehicle features a plush cabin with vaulted ceilings that features plenty of room. Near the entrance, there’s a full-size kitchen with actual counter space, a luxury you rarely find in any camping vehicle; a spacious bathroom with enough room for a separate stand-up shower; an elevated main sleeping area with room for two; and a large dinette that can be converted into an additional sleeping area with room for a California king mattress. The walls throughout the vehicle are lined with Woodland Timber Oak, and there’s also a built-in washer-dryer so you don’t have to worry about laundry while out and about.

The kitchen actually has counter space
EarthRoamer
EarthRoamer is asking $1.1 million for this three-year-old SV-SX. That’s a high price tag, of course, but also about equal to the adventure vehicle’s starting price. Add in all the premium add-ons and some might even consider it a bargain.
