Hennessey’s New Manual-Only Hypercar Makes Over 2,000 HP

Hennessey Special Vehicle’s newest creation only further justifies the shop’s name.

The Texas performance specialists will finally unveil the finished Venom F5-M at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. The latest version of the company’s first all-original hypercar makes over 2,000 hp and is only available with a manual transmission.

This isn’t the first of we’ve heard of the Venom F5-M. Hennessey first announced the outrageous variant in September 2024, when it said the hypercar would make 1,817 hp. The final version comes now equipped with the shop’s 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged “Fury” V-8 that actually churns out 2,031 hp, or 214 more horses than originally promised. That ridiculous output makes the hypercar the third most powerful production vehicle in the world, trailing only the Koenigsegg Gemera, which makes 2,300 hp, and the Rimac Nevera R, which makes 2,107 hp.

Those models may have a bit more oomph, but when it comes to stick shifts, the Venom F5-M is the undisputed king. The vehicle comes exclusively with a six-speed gated manual transmission (hence the M in its name), which sends power to the rear axle. Hennessey hasn’t released performance figures yet, but considering that the original Venom F5 was engineered to top 300 mph, we imagine it will be quite fast. The variant will also be the first version of the hypercar to include an adaptive suspension.

But a more potent powertrain and a manual gearbox aren’t all that set the Venom F5-M apart from its predecessor. The model, which will only be available as a roadster, also features a revised body with even more aggressive aerodynamic elements than before. The main changes are an integrated roof scoop perched over the two-seat cabin and giant integrated dorsal fin that stretches 55 inches. Not only does that detail differentiate the variant from the rest of the Venom F5 lineup, but it also increases downforce produced at high speeds.
