Pershing’s Sporty New 92-Foot Yacht Is Like a Range Rover for the Seas

Cross a Range Rover with an Italian motor yacht, and you get the latest Pershing.

The new GTX90, the first unit of which the Ferretti Group brand launched at the port of Fano in Italy on July 1, delivers power, comfort, and style in a 92-foot package. The model is the second-largest in Pershing’s GTX range of Sport Utility Yachts, bigger than both the entry-level GTX70 and the GTX80 but smaller than the GTX116.

Penned in partnership with Vallicelli Design studio, the newcomer is blessed with Pershing’s sporty DNA, combining a clean, contemporary silhouette with impressive performance specs. It is also clearly a GTX, with the exterior showcasing several of the line’s signatures, such as a sharp vertical bow and a slightly convex sheer line.

The first GTX90 hit the seas on July 1.

As with other models in the series, the GTX90 capitalizes on every inch of deck space. With a beam of just under 23 feet, the yacht offers generous living quarters spread across two decks and a sportbridge. The layout is designed to connect the indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a nice sense of flow throughout.

A wide door on the main deck connects the raised cockpit aft to an open-plan living area with a large bar to port, an eight-seat dining table to starboard, and a cozy salon with a C-shaped sofa at the back. A little further in, the bow is home to a helm station with three pilot chairs and an electrically operated skylight. From here, side walkways lead to a forward lounge area with a sunpad and a dinette fitted with an electric up-down table.

The lower deck is dedicated to accommodation. The full-beam owner’s suite is positioned amidship, a VIP lies forward, and two guest cabins (one double, one single) sit in between. All four cabins come with en suites, of course. The lower deck also houses two double crew cabins with private bathrooms and direct access to the main galley.

The sportbridge is one of the most spacious in class.

The standout feature is, quite fittingly, at the pinnacle. The spacious sportbridge covers 355 square feet, meaning it offers over 43 percent more deck space than the average for yachts of this size, according to Pershing. It includes a sunbathing area, a dinette, two large sofas, and a coffee table, all of which are covered by a hardtop.

Another highlight is the aft cockpit, which is equipped with two swing-down side terraces that open to increase the deck space to 398 square feet. The seaside expanse offers up a lounge and a panoramic sunpad that holds two Seabobs beneath.

That isn’t the only storage on board, either. The GTX90 is the first of the smaller yachts in the range (under 100 feet) to be fitted with a double garage that can carry a Williams 395 SportJet tender and a Sea-Doo Spark Trixx jet ski.

As for grunt, the GTX90 is fitted with two MAN V-12 engines delivering 2,200 hp each for a top speed of 35 knots and a range of 300 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 30 knots. It also comes with two Seakeeper 18 gyroscopic stabilizers to maximize comfort, so she’s as smooth as your Rangey.
