Bluegame’s New 64-Foot Yacht Wants Be Your SUV for the High Seas
Bluegame’s latest yacht wants to be the Goldilocks of the celebrated BG range.
The new BG64 measures 64 feet from plumb bow to open stern, making it larger than the BG42 and BG54 but slightly smaller than the BG74. Offering the BG in this size for the first time is part of a broader strategy newly minted CEO Gianguido Girotti has implemented to bring Bluegame to a wider range of yachters.
“With our strongest-ever portfolio, spanning 42 to 83 feet, today there is truly a Bluegame for every Bluegamer,” Girotti said in a statement.
The BG models are what the Italian yard describes as “Sport Utility Boats,” combining elements of a sportfisher, a day cruiser, and an open yacht in one elegant package. The new 64-footer combines the spacious indoor-outdoor layout of the BG74 with the cruising capability of the BGX63 crossover.
“From the outset, our objective was clear: how do we bring the complete Bluegame experience into 64 feet without losing what makes our yachts unique?” explains Luca Santella, Bluegame’s head of strategy. “That became the guiding principle behind every decision.”

As with all Bluegames, the new BG64 has an open-plan design that creates a seamless flow between the interior, exterior, and ocean. One of the defining features is the versatile stern, which is fitted with a lateral opening terrace, a generous swim platform, and a port-side crane. It gives the yacht a level of functionality that sets it apart from others in the class, Bluegame says.
The nearby aft cockpit leads to the living quarters, blurring the traditional boundaries between inside and out. Zuccon International Project designed the interiors, creating a refined yet relaxed onboard environment that can accommodate up to 14 passengers. Owners can choose between two or three cabins.
Rather than the salon, the upper deck is the social heart, as is typical of Bluegame yachts. It is not only naturally shaded and ventilated but can be fully enclosed, allowing it to be enjoyed in all climates and conditions. At the opposite end, a generous bow lounge pulls triple duty as sunbathing area, dining space, and private retreat.
In terms of cruising, the BG64 features a hull designed by Lou Codega that ensures stability, efficiency, and seakeeping, according to Bluegame. Equipped with twin Volvo Pentas, the yacht has a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots.
“For us, the BG64 represents more than a new model,” Santella says. “It is the moment the Bluegame family becomes complete.”
The BG64 will premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September. Three units have already been sold ahead of the debut.
