Aston Martin’s First Street Motorcycle Will Be Limited to 300 units
Aston Martin’s two-wheelers can now be enjoyed away from the track.
The British sports car maker and Brough Superior have just shown off their latest motorcycle, the AMB 002. The duo’s third collaboration also happens to be its first street-legal bike.
Aston Martin and Brough Superior have been working together since the tail end of last decade. In that time, they’ve released two bikes, the AMB 001 in 2020 and the higher-performance AMB 001 Pro in 2022. Both motorcycles were impressive—especially the latter, which produced 225 hp, making it a genuine hyperbike—but they could only be ridden at your local track. The AMB 002 faces no such limitations.

Road-going vehicles tend to be a bit more restrained than their track-only counterparts, but don’t tell that to Aston Martin and Brough Superior. If anything, the AMB 002 looks even more extreme than the two models that preceded it. The motorcycle sports a sculptural look that, in the first press images at least, calls to mind H.R. Giger’s designs from the original Alien movie. It features a dramatic light package, side strakes similar to those found on one of Aston Martin’s grand tourers, and a comfortable leather seat.
Each hand-crafted example of the bike is powered by a 1,083 cc four-stroke water-cooled V-twin. The engine, which was built specifically for the new model, makes 128 hp, 81 ft lbs of torque, and was tuned to deliver responsive and engaging performance. While its output can’t compare to that of the 225-hp AMB 001 Pro, the 419-pound two-wheeler will offer more than enough performance even for the most demanding street rider.

“Combining the bold design aesthetic and pioneering engineering innovation which define Aston Martin and Brough Superior’s work to date, the AMB 002 is the vivid expression of our shared passion for sculptural, visceral, covetable machines,” Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s chief creative officer, said in a statement. “It promises an ownership and riding experience unique in the world of motorcycling; an irresistible road bike for keen motorcyclists and discerning collectors alike.”
The time to act is now if all of this has caught your fancy. Aston Martin and Brough Superior plan to build just 300 examples of the bike. That makes it more accessible than its predecessors, but still exclusive. Pricing has yet to be announced, but something in excess of the AMB 001’s $100,000 starting price seems likely. Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of next year.
