Sirena Yachts Just Unveiled Its Stylish New 118-Foot Flagship

Sirena Yachts made one mighty splash at Cannes this year, presenting one of the largest yachts of the show. 

The new Sirena 118 is the biggest GRP yacht in the Turkish yard’s lineup, surpassing the 88 by a good 30 feet. The first unit, christened Ikigai, was heavily personalized by the owner, illustrating the highly flexible nature of the semi-custom model. 

With exteriors by Sirena’s in-house team, naval architecture by Germán Frers, and interiors by Cor D. Rover, the 118-footer is designed to travel the world in style. It features the same powerful profile and bold axe bow as previous models, with a highly efficient fast-displacement hull that guarantees seaworthiness. Twin MAN V-12 engines capable of producing 3,100 hp give the vessel a top speed of 16 knots. (Owners can also opt for a more powerful package with 3,800 hp engines that push the top speed to 21 knots.)

“She represents a successful balance between performance and a smooth, comfortable ride, including when motoring upwind in challenging sea conditions,” Frers said in a statement.

With a beam of just under 25 feet, the yacht offers a generous interior volume of 279 GT. That results in large, versatile living quarters that are suited to all types of seafarers. At the center of the main deck lies a light, airy salon with full-height windows and double doors that lead to the aft deck. Forward sits the owner’s suite, with doors opening to an expansive foredeck terrace and a spiral staircase leading to a private office and lounge area on the deck below. 

The lower deck is home to five guest cabins and a second primary that can collectively sleep up to 12 guests, as well as three crew cabins that can accommodate five crew. Also on the lower deck is a generous beach club with drop-down sea balconies that provide direct access to the sea. 

Heading upstairs, the upper deck centers around an elegant lounge with a large dining table for family meals and an adjoining outdoor terrace. Above that is a sundeck with an alfresco bar and plush lounge seating. 

The bespoke interior is a tribute to explorers of the past, with shapes, colors, and materials drawn from the people, vessels, and instruments of that world. Think vintage navy portholes, ship compasses, and aircraft fuselage. The decor also nods to nature, with a palette of green, burgundy, and mustard playing against textured elements such as peacock feathers, pressed leaves, and seashells.
