A 1-of-19 Nissan GT-R50 Is Currently Up for Sale

Here’s your chance to acquire the rarest of all Nissan GT-Rs.

An example of the limited-edition GT-R50 is currently up for sale in Canada via Ontario’s Legendary Motorsports Company. The sale example offers an exceedingly rare opportunity to acquire a sports car that originally carried a seven-figure price tag.

The GT-R, which is the latest evolution of the legendary Skyline GT-R, has been long in the tooth for a while now, having been introduced all the way back in 2007. But, in 2019, Nissan turned to coachbuilder Italdesign to give the muscular speed machine some much-needed life. The result was the GT-R50, a re-bodied version of the high-performance GT-R Nismo built to celebrate the car and design firm’s 50th anniversary. Only 19 were built, and if your taste runs toward Japanese sports cars there aren’t many modern-day vehicles that can compete.

This example is the 11th built by hand and was delivered to its original owner in 2021. Although it doesn’t look radically different from the standard GT-R, the new body panels and revised aero package give it a markedly sleeker appearance. Regardless, the car’s stance and proportions make clear it is a beast designed and engineered with the express purpose of going fast. The car up for sale features a couple of attractive (and expensive) extras, including a Liquid Silver with Nismo Red accent color scheme, which added over $27,000 to the final cost, and a hydraulic rear wing, which added $38,000 more. The interior is nearly identical to that of the GT-R, with the exception of some Nismo Red accents and carbon-fiber seatbacks.

What really makes the GT-R50 special, though—and all GT-Rs—is what lies beneath its athletic exterior. The car is powered by the same 3.8-liter V-6 from the GT-R Nismo, only with the upgraded turbochargers from a GT3 race car. The modified powertrain produces 710 horses and 575 ft lbs of torque which is routed to all four wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also features a revised suspension with adaptive dampers and upgraded Brembo brakes in the front and back. This one also promises to be in excellent shape as it only has delivery mileage on it (though the exact number is not disclosed).

Are you looking for something exclusive for your collection? Legendary doesn’t list a price for the vehicle, but it cost $1.1 million originally. The Canadian dealer previously tried to sell this example back in 2021, so it’s unclear if the asking price has been adjusted because of that.
