Actor Nick Pasqual Charged With Attempted Murder of Allie Shehorn

Actor Nick Pasqual has been charged with allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn, a Hollywood special effects makeup artist, several times.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Pasqual with one count of attempted murder; one count of first-degree residential burglary with person present; and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent. According to a press release on the office’s website, if he is convicted, he could be facing a maximum sentence of life in a state prison.

“My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident,” District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement. “Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her. This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”

The charges against Pasqual come a week after Shehorn was found bleeding out on May 23 inside her home, after being stabbed over 20 times, according to KTLA. She was placed in the intensive care unit of a local hospital before being taken out of the ICU a few days later. She remains hospitalized.

The 35-year-old had taken out a restraining order against the actor, who had been released from jail days before she was attacked.

“I found her, and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn’t a pretty sight,” Shehorn’s friend, Christine White, told KTLA following the assault. “This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody. You don’t think this is ever going to happen to you.”

Her friends began a GoFundMe page to help her raise the money she’ll need to cover her hospital bills, including her prolonged stay, surgeries, treatments and the ongoing care she’ll require during her recovery.
