Antonini Navi’s New Custom Steel Superyacht Bucks Design Conventions
Antonini Navi just flipped the script on superyacht design. The Italian shipyard recently launched a fully custom 102-footer with a layout unlike most yachts in its category.
Christened Hanaa, the Evo 31 is a compact explorer designed to offer the space, comfort, and luxury typically associated with larger vessels. Featuring exteriors by Hydro Tec and interiors by Hot Lab, the yacht offers generous living areas across four decks with a distinctive configuration that sets it apart from 100-foot counterparts.
The main deck has neither a forward owner’s suite nor a formal salon—as is typical for most yachts in the category—but rather one expansive social space with a spacious central lounge that flows to the aft cockpit and exterior deck. At the opposite end, the bow, where a private terrace has been incorporated into the hull, can serve as a dining area, office, or meeting space.

The upper deck resembles that of a megayacht, outfitted with both the helm station and the owner’s quarters. The owner’s suite opens to a private aft terrace with a lounge bar and Jacuzzi, creating an indoor-outdoor oasis that is separate from the rest of the guests. Above that, the sundeck, described by Antonini Navi as one of the most spacious in the category, offers a dining area, barbecue, and sun pad in roughly 840 square feet.
The lower deck is home to four guest cabins, three crew cabins, a large engine room, and a sizable garage that can hold a tender of up to 16 feet. Interestingly, the crew mess is located on the main deck rather than the lower, allowing for direct access to the galley and thereby improving both service and efficiency, Antonini Navi says.

As for performance, the steel hull and aluminium superstructure are paired with twin diesel engines, giving Hanaa a top speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
“With EVO 31, we wanted to break the mould and demonstrate that, even in this size category, we have the capabilities to build safe, modern, top-quality bespoke metal yachts, with interior and exterior liveability comparable to that of much larger vessels,” Antonini Navi said in a statement shared Thursday.
Hanaa was launched during a private ceremony at Antonini Navi’s yard in La Spezia, Italy. Her delivery is scheduled for spring 2027.
