Azimut Launches Its New Trideck 30M for the Cannes Yachting Festival

Azimut launched the first hull of its Grande 30M series. The 98-footer is positioned between the Grande 26M and 36M. Last year, a 44M was revealed. It was announced last year at the Cannes Yachting Festival and will make its debut there in September. The launch took place at the Azimut superyacht facility in Viareggio, Italy.
The Grande 30M is a new collaboration between Alberto Mancini, who is a longtime designer for the brand, and Milan design firm m2atelier, which also redesigned the interior of Azimut’s Grande Trideck. The interior renderings reveal the firm’s background in residential interior design, with floor-to-ceiling windows, muted grays and wood veneers and loose furniture.
The main salon by Milan designers m2atelier has a relaxed, residential vibe.

“Our goal is to create an environment that feels comfortable and effortless, one that doesn’t tire you,” founder Marijana Radovic told Robb Report. “We believe in designing spaces where you’re not fixated on a single element but instead discover subtle details over time, appreciating them more with each day.”
The firm’s founding partner, Marco Bonelli, added that the designers limit the number of materials used. “Rather than constantly introducing new ones, we prefer to add dimension and texture to existing materials, allowing the design to feel layered and harmonious,” he said.
The upper salon is the centerpiece of the top deck, separating the front and rear social areas. the enclosed space is unusual on a yacht this size.

The Mancini exterior also includes an evolved “Infinity Skydeck,” which has the upper deck running flush from the rear of the vessel to the bow. A center salon is cleverly placed between a large veranda at the rear and a social area with seating, table and an infinity pool at the bow. That centerpiece salon is unusual for a yacht this size, allowing the upper area to be used in all types of weather. The 30M also has five staterooms, all en suite, to accommodate up to 10 guests, with three crew having their own quarters.
The Grande 30M will also be the first Azimut using a news Rolls-Royce configuration that mates MTU engines with pods, which should deliver 15 percent better fuel efficiency compared to conventional shaft-driven yachts of the same size. Carbon fiber across the superstructure to lighten weight also helps with fuel efficiency. The pod design also frees up space in the engine compartment to store and launch a tender. Azimut forecasts a top speed of 25 knots.
