Bilgin Just Launched a 170-Foot Semi-Custom Superyacht Called ‘NB83’
It’s double trouble at Bilgin Yachts.
The Turkish yard just launched the second hull in the Bilgin 170 series, marking a key step in the construction process. The new superyacht, known as NB83, hit the water in Antalya, a mere couple of months after the first unit. (The inaugural hull, christened Tamasha, was launched in October.)
With exteriors and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design, NB83 features a streamlined profile and the same elegant lines as the Bilgin 163 Camila. Even with that svelte silhouette, the semi-custom cruiser still offers an impressive amount of space on board. “Our goal with the 170 series was to offer the exterior spaces typically found on 60-meter yachts within a sub-500 GT platform,” Unique Yacht Design founder Emrecan Özgün said in a statement. “NB83 is sleek, sexy, and modern.”

The 499 GT yacht offers approximately 20 percent more usable volume than vessels in the 157-foot range, in fact. All that space has been used to create an indoor-outdoor layout for the next generation of seafarers. “We focused on maximizing the transition between luxury indoor and outdoor living, ensuring a design that remains contemporary and relevant even 10 years from now,” adds Özgün. NB83 offers expansive living areas both inside and out, as well as generous cabins for up to 12 guests. The owner’s suite occupies a prime position on the bridge deck.

Spearheaded by Hot Lab, the contemporary interior showcases bespoke details and finishes that were shaped by the owner’s vision. “Today’s clients are far more design-conscious than they were 20 years ago,” explains Enrico Lumini of Hot Lab. “While beige and off-white tones remain popular, what defines modern luxury is the intelligent layering of materials and textures, creating interiors that feel inviting, elegant, and timeless.”

NB83 will be a real treat on the water, too: The yacht sports a steel displacement hull that delivers optimized hydrodynamics, long-range capability, and exceptional onboard comfort, according to Bilgin. It is also equipped with two CAT engines, allowing it to reach 16 knots at full tilt and cover approximately 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
NB83 will now enter outfitting ahead of sea trials and delivery. The delivery is scheduled for early 2026.
