Ferrari Is Auctioning Off the Final Daytona SP3 for Charity
Ferrari wants to give its legion of diehard fans one last shot at the Daytona SP3.
The storied Italian marque has tapped RM Sotheby’s to help it auction off the final example of the sold-out hypercar that marked its return to the naturally aspirated V-12. The vehicle going up for grabs isn’t from the initial 599-car production run but is an extra example Maranello decided to build.
The final Daytona SP3 will hit the block as part of RM Sotheby’s slate of Monterey Car Week auctions next month in California. The winning bidder won’t get the same say over the car’s look that other Daytona SP3 owners got, they’ll get the next best thing—a completely unique spec developed by Ferrari’s Tailor Made customization team.

The hypercar is the third model in the Icona Series, and features a gracefully athletic look inspired by 1960s sport prototypes that brought the company its greatest endurance racing success. The example up for bid is done up in a special two-tone livery that combines exposed carbon fiber with Giallo Modena and is bisected by a full-length Ferrari logotype, which has never been used on one of the company’s road cars before.
The interior sports a much more restrained look, with black being the dominant color. That’s not to say the two-seat cabin looks boring, though. The seats are covered in a new upholstery material made from recycled tires, and there’s a racing flag motif and yellow accents throughout the space.

In the engine bay, you’ll find the same 6.5-liter V-12 that powers every other Daytona SP3. The naturally aspirated unit is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and makes 829 hp and 514 ft lbs of torque. Back in 2021, Ferrari said the vehicle could rocket from zero to 62 mph in under three seconds and hit a top speed of 211 mph, numbers that should be attainable since the winning bidder will be the car’s first owner.
Unsurprisingly, Ferrari and RM Sotheby’s have high hopes for the final Daytona SP3. The auction house expects the vehicle to sell for in excess of $3.5 million. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Ferrari Foundation, the automaker’s education-focused non-profit.
