Ferretti’s New 74-Foot Yacht Will Debut at This Year’s Boot Düsseldorf
Ferretti’s newest 74-foot yacht is ready to take center stage at Boot Düsseldorf.
The first redesigned 720 will make its world premiere at the world’s largest indoor boat and watersports show later this week. It will be joined by four other yachts from the Italian yard’s various brands, including Itama, Riva, Pershing, and Wally.
The revamped 720 retains the distinctive features of the previous generation that debuted at the 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival, but has been upgraded with fresh aesthetics and tech. Penned in partnership with architect Filippo Salvetti, the reimagined exterior includes a redefined profile with even more glazing, a new hardtop, and a redesigned gunwale. The updated interior, designed by Ideaeitalia, offers more comfort and space, with a revised layout that includes four cabins, an inviting lounge, and an improved wheelhouse. All of which reflects Ferretti’s “Just Like Home” ethos of bringing a familiar warmth to the high seas.

In terms of grunt, the first 720 is equipped with a pair of MAN V-12 engines capable of churning out 1,400 hp. That gives the yacht a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots, according to preliminary data. The inaugural hull was also the first model in the flybridge range to be built at the new Ferretti yard in Ravenna.

The Itama 54.

The first Itama 54 will also be at the show. This new model is the middle child of Ferretti’s performance-yacht line, sitting just behind the Itama 62RS. It oozes that same iconic style and Italian elegance, but offers greater comfort in the living areas.

The Pershing 6X.

Also making an appearance will be a 62-foot Pershing 6X, the latest model in Pershing’s Generation X series, which is capable of hitting a top speed of 48 knots.

The Dolceriva Open.
Alberto Cocchi
The other two attendees include a 48-foot Dolceriva with a future-forward open design and a Wallytender48 with outstanding performance specs, like a potential max speed of 54 knots.
