Inside the New Delta One Lounge in Terminal 2 at LAX Airport
Delta has given fliers another plush place to relax in LAX.
The American airline has partially opened its second Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, with plans to rapidly expand in the West Coast aviation mecca over the next few years.
Located on the Mezzanine level of Terminal 2, the new lounge spans 4,000 square feet and offers seating for up to 75 guests. It is positioned as a quieter, more cozy alternative to the larger Delta One Lounge at Terminal 3, which can accommodate nearly 200 guests. Though doors are open, the entire space will continue to be renovated, with work expected to wrap in 2028.
The bar will be slinging inventive cocktails.

The interior features expansive windows that afford sweeping views of the airfield and also create a light, airy atmosphere. The walls are adorned with works by seven Los Angeles-based artists, bringing some of the city’s rich culture to the typically humdrum airport environment. Guests have full run of three showers, four cabana-style bathrooms, and a premium bar, plus portable monitors and wireless chargers.
Food is the real focus, though. Many of the ingredients across menus are sourced from local California farms, giving fliers a chance to taste the finest regional produce without leaving the airport. Breakfast options range from acai bowls to huevos rancheros. You can even tuck into small-batch jams delivered each morning from beloved East Hollywood restaurant Sqirl.

As for drinks, the bar slings inventive cocktails, such as the funky blue “Island Sapphire” inspired by Delta’s L.A. to Honolulu route. You can also sip coffee from Santa Cruz-based roastery Verve, tea, freshly squeezed juices, and smoothies.
Delta isn’t stopping at the lounge, either. The airline plans to open a second Delta Sky Club in LAX by 2027. Located in Terminal 2, the space will span 11,000 square feet, making it smaller and more intimate than the existing Delta Sky Club in Terminal 3. That means by 2028 Delta will have four outposts at LAX totaling 60,000 square feet and more than 1,000 seats. It will also mean the company operates 60 lounges worldwide—the most of any U.S. airline.

“This investment remains congruent to our strategy of elevating the premium experience both at LAX and across our global network,” Megan Humphreys, vice president of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience, said in a statement. “With demand for premium travel continuing to rise and our global footprint expanding, we’re thoughtfully looking at every square foot we have—designing every detail with intention and to align with the Delta One experience our customers deserve.”
