Jane Fonda’s Old Ferrari 275 GTB Is Currently Up for Sale
A Ferrari once owned by Hollywood royalty is currently up for grabs.
A gorgeous 1966 275 GTB that once belonged to Oscar winner Jane Fonda and her first husband, French writer and director Roger Vadim, is currently up for sale RM Sotheby’s. And unlike another Prancing Horse owned by a star of the silver screen, this one is unlikely to suddenly be pulled from the market.
The 275 GTB is the follow-up to the 250 series and is widely considered to be one of the greatest cars to ever leave Maranello. It’s close to the platonic ideal of a 1960s grand tourer, thanks to its sleek, long-nosed bodywork and one of Ferrari automaker’s trademark front-mounted Colombo V-12s. It also proved to be a magnet for A-listers, finding its way into the garage of stars like Steve McQueen and Miles Davis. Fonda and Vadim, the latter of whom had owned a 250 California SWB Spider, were certainly won over and purchased this example in 1966 to drive while spending time in his home country.

The interior is covered in Nero leather and features wood trim on the steering wheel and dashboard, as well as a metal gated shifter.
Just as beautiful as the car’s exterior is the engine beneath the hood. The 275 GTB is powered by a 3.3-liter Colombo V-12 with two overhead camshafts (later versions of the car had four). The mill makes 280 hp, all of which was sent to the back wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle transmission. The car can accelerate from zero to 60 in just over six seconds and tops out at 160 mph. The listing doesn’t include the mileage, but the car looks to have been
Interested? You’ll want to reach out to RM Sotheby’s directly, and probably quickly. No price is listed, but we’d be willing to wager that this stunning coupé won’t come cheap.
