Mia-McKenna Bruce, Martin Freeman, Set For Netflix Christie Series

How To Have Sex star Mia McKenna-Bruce will lead a new Agatha Christie adaptation from Netflix titled The Seven Dials Mystery.

Alongside Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman, McKenna-Bruce, who also starred in Persuasion, will play Bundle, who is described as a “young, determined sleuth” in the series.

Penned by Broadchurch creator and former Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall, The Seven Dials Mystery is executive produced by The Crown‘s Suzanne Mackie through her company Orchid Pictures and Chris Sussman (Good Omens). Chris Sweeney (The Tourist, Back to Life) directs.

At a lavish country house party in 1925, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. Bundle sets out to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life.

McKenna-Bruce said: “Chris Chibnall’s scripts are brilliant, and I am thrilled to be part of this new interpretation of the iconic Agatha Christie’s storytelling.”

The Seven Dials Mystery is the first series to go into production with Orchid Pictures and will begin filming this summer.

Sam Yates (Magpie) is directing, and filming is now underway in and around Bristol and on the Devon coast.
