Netflix Plans Immersive Experiences in Texas, Pennsylvania

Netflix has rolled out plans for out-of-home immersive venues to open first in King of Prussia in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas next year.

On its Tudum site, the streaming giant noted that initial year-round Netflix House sites will build on earlier live experiences for Bridgerton, Money Heist, Stranger Things and Squid Game, and promises an “experiential entertainment venue” to immerse fans in popular Netflix titles.

“At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste — literally — of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings,” Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

“We’ve launched more than 50 experiences in 25 cities, and Netflix House represents the next generation of our distinctive offerings. The venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new, ever-changing, and unexpected ways,” Lee added.

Netflix is also expanding on its Netflix Bites pop-up restaurants, with the food concept built around an “elevated dining experience” featuring chefs featured in various Netflix shows.

The streaming giant’s latest push into experiential content will allow fans to, for example, dance to an orchestral cover of a Taylor Swift song on a replica of the Bridgerton set, or compete in the Glass Bridge challenge from Squid Game. The Netflix House venues will also feature a restaurant with food inspired by popular shows, and the opportunity to buy Netflix merchandise.

The initial Texas and Pennsylvania locations, to fill former department store locations, were chosen for their proximity to major urban markets.
