Paris Hilton and Her Family Charter the Sunreef 80 Eco ‘Nalani’

Among yacht brands, Sunreef seems to have the most success courting celebrities—at least those who want to be publicly identified on a yacht. Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal and F1 racers Fernando Alonso and Nico Rosberg, own different models of the luxury multihull brand.
The latest to join the list, at least for the short term, is Paris Hilton, who most likely flew to Sardinia in her recently delivered Gulfstream G450 called “Sliv Air.” While not a Sunreef owner, Hilton spent a week on the Eco 80 Nalani with her husband, Carter Reum, and their children, Phoenix and London.
Nalani’s 38-foot beam delivers the interior space of a much larger yacht.

Hilton’s social media was filled with images of the trip, calling it “making the most magical memories with the people I love most,” with the majority of images taken in the more photogenic areas of the 80-foot sailing cat.
Nalani—which means “serenity under the sky” in Hawaiian—was a good visual backdrop for the celebrity (who starred with Nicole Richie from 2003 to 2007 in the reality series The Simple Life) who is now one of the highest-paid DJs in the world, earning up to $1 million per gig. The exposure should also put Sunreef in front of a different fan base than Nadal and Alonso.

Nalani meanwhile remains the unsung hero of this photo shoot, an 80-footer with nearly 3,700 square feet of interior space, including a massive salon, five staterooms for ten guests, and quarters for four crew. Sunreef’s Eco label is used on boats with a proprietary solar-skin system integrated into its hull sides, superstructure, bimini, and carbon mast. The panels, which can produce up to 22.81 kWp, charge the vessel’s battery bank that generates 84 kWh, which eliminates the need for generators for some of the time at anchor. When not under sail, Nalani is powered by small 280 hp John Deere diesels. The entire system translates to a cleaner eco-footprint than other yachts in its size range.
Beyond the green credentials, the black-hulled cat was designed for an entrepreneur who charters it out several times per year, but mostly uses it to entertain family and friends, which could be the case with Hilton’s week in Sardinia.

It has a relaxed interior design, populated by loose designer furnishings, textiles, rustic wooden finishes, and even hammocks in the cockpit. Because it’s a multihull, with a 38-foot beam, the primary suite feels palatial, with a king-size bed, a walk-in closet. and a private drop-down balcony that is perfect for a morning espresso or a dive overboard.
Nalani’s stern was also designed as a beach club, with an hydraulic platform that drops down to the water. On her social-media posts, Hilton, Reum and their children can be seeing enjoying the boat’s toys, including a Jet Ski, wakeboard, e-foils, and seabobs, and ocean dips.
