Patrone’s New 45-Foot Yacht Is a Fresh Take on Classic Italian Gozzo
Patrone Moreno wants to help you spend more time on the water. The Italian shipyard has unveiled yet another take on the classic Italian gozzo boat, with the latest iteration designed for longer stints at sea.
The new Patrone 45 Convertible, which will become the yard’s flagship upon launch, takes design cues from the Patrone 45′ Open that debuted in 2024. Designed by Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini, both 45-footers combine the elegance and practicality of traditional gozzi with the tech and luxury of modern motor yachts. The major difference is that the Convertible features a fully enclosed cockpit, whereas the Open showcases only a T-top. That means the newcomer offers more shelter, making it better for extended adventures.
The cockpit is available in two configurations: one with a central sofa that converts into an additional sun pad, the other with wraparound seating that makes the space even more versatile. There is more seating on the aft deck, a swim platform at the stern, and a sun pad at the bow.

Another major change to the layout is the repositioning of the galley from the main deck to below deck. That results in a more spacious open-plan living area, with a salon and dinette for lounging and entertaining. A few steps down sits the fully equipped galley with an induction hob, a large fridge, an oven, and a dishwasher. Further in lies an owner’s suite and a VIP cabin. Two additional berths can be created by converting the dinette, meaning the yacht can sleep up to six guests in total.
Patrone’s signature hull windows flood the interiors with natural light and provide views of the surrounding environment. The limed and bleached oak throughout further adds to that light, airy atmosphere and also adds a refined feel. Owners can, of course, tailor the fabrics, finishes and palettes exactly to their liking.
On the power front, the yacht is equipped with Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines, though no range or top speed has yet been disclosed. It also offers joystick control, ensuring smooth handling and straightforward docking, according to Patrone.
The first Patrone 45 Convertible will debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September.
