Printz died Jan. 23 in Los Angeles, his wife, former casting director Shani Ginsberg, announced.

A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, Printz began his career as a DGA trainee on such films as Better Off Dead (1985) and Psycho III (1986).

More recently, he produced for the streaming dramas Truth Be Told at Apple TV and Bookie at HBO Max.

Colleagues membered Printz for his warmth, his calm and even-handed demeanor.

Production crews trusted and respected him.”
