Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Please Please Please’ Hits No. 1 on Hot 100

Sabrina Carpenter‘s summer hit, “Please Please Please,” has officially hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

On Monday, Billboard released the top 10 of the Hot 100, announcing that Carpenter’s recent hit single had overtaken the Post Malone and Morgan Wallen song “I Had Some Help,” giving the pop star her first No. 1 song on the chart. “Please Please Please,” which was released June 6, debuted on the chart last week in the second spot, behind “I Had Some Help.”

Carpenter’s viral hit “Espresso,” which peaked at No. 3 on the chart, remains in the top 10, currently sitting in the fourth position.

The music video for “Please Please Please” features Carpenter and her rumored real-life boyfriend, Oscar-nominated actor Barry Keoghan. Throughout the video, which was directed by Bardia Zeinali, Keoghan is repeatedly arrested for incidents including robbing banks and fighting.

Carpenter is shown throughout the video collecting her boyfriend from jail following each release, all while the song’s fitting lyrics soundtrack the scene: “Heartbreak is one thing / My ego’s another / I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherfucker / Please, please, please.”
