The CW’s Fall 2024 TV Schedule Includes ‘Superman & Lois’
After more than a year away, Superman & Lois is set to return to The CW in the fall.
The final season of the superhero drama is part of the network’s 2024-25 schedule — but it’s the only one of the handful of scripted series from The CW’s pre-Nexstar era that is currently on the schedule for next season. All American, its spinoff All American: Homecoming, and Walker are currently in limbo, with decisions on all three to come after they finish their current seasons. (All American and Walker will both run into the summer, and Homecoming isn’t scheduled to premiere until July.)
Superman & Lois completed its third season on June 27, 2023, and was off the air for the 2023-24 season — the first full year under Nexstar, which took controlling ownership of The CW from Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount late in 2022. Its final season will run on Thursday nights, paired with The Librarians: The Next Chapter, a sequel to the former TNT series about the guardians of the world’s most prized supernatural artifacts.
The CW’s fall lineup features just a few holdovers from this season: Drama Sullivan’s Crossing will once again lead off Wednesday nights, and Whose Line Is It Anyway and Inside the NFL will fill out the Friday slate. Sullivan’s Crossing will lead into Joan, a limited series starring Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner as an infamous jewel thief.
Monday nights will feature two game shows based on classic board games: Trivial Pursuit, hosted by LeVar Burton, and Scrabble, with Raven-Symoné as host. WWE NXT, which is moving from USA Network in the fall, will air on Tuesdays. Sports — a mix of college football games and NASCAR’s Xfinity Series — will fill up Saturdays, and movies will air Sunday nights.
At midseason, the network will tee up two scripted series. Good Cop/Bad Cop (which will also stream on the Roku Channel) stars Leighton Meester and Luke Cook as a brother and sister who work together on the police force in a small Pacific Northwest city. Sherlock & Daughter features David Thewlis as Sherlock Holmes and also stars Blu Hunt as his (possible) daughter and Dougray Scott as Moriarty.
There’s also no word yet on the futures for unscripted series Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Masters of Illusion and World’s Funniest Animals, among others.
