The Mxtrem Maverick is a Corvette That Looks Like a Fighter Jet

The cockpit is far from the only fighter jet-inspired flourish on this Chevrolet C8 Corvette.

Mxtrem Automobil has just unveiled the Maverick, its heavily modified take on the latest iteration of the iconic sports car. And while it’s clear the tuner’s first build is based on the C8, it also looks more like an F-18 than something you’d expect to see on the highway.

It may not look as cartoonish as the Lamborghini Diablo-based Beast, but it seems likely that the Maverick will be one of the more over-the-top custom jobs we see in 2025. Mxtrem has taken the eighth-generation ‘Vette’s already aggressive design and turned every element up to 11 with an absurd carbon-fiber body kit. Particularly notable changes include the front fascia, which has been refashioned so that it looks like the nose of a fighter jet, and the rear fenders, which have been reimagined as wings. But the biggest changes can be found at the back of the car, where the rear end has been outfitted with a pair of vertical stabilizers and a set of faux afterburners and missiles.

Mxtrem’s handiwork isn’t limited to the exterior. The two-seater’s cabin has also been given a makeover. From the beginning, Chevy hasn’t hidden that the C8’s cockpit was designed to look like that of a fighter jet, but the tuner has chosen to take things to another level. That includes adding a yoke-style steering wheel and equipping the center console with a flight stick. The driver’s seat even also features a grip that we can only assume is meant to resemble an ejection seat handle. And don’t worry if there’s a feature you think is missing. The shop says it will work with customers to ensure the vehicle, inside and out, meets their specific desires.

Mxtrem’s website is curiously short on technical details. It does say that customers can choose between a C8 Stingray, Z06, or hybrid-powered E-Ray as their donor vehicle. That suggests that the build will make up to 655 hp. Performance numbers also aren’t available, but we’re going to go out on a limb and say the Maverick won’t be able to still accelerate from zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds.

Eager to add a fighter jet on wheels to your collection? Mxtrem is now taking orders for the custom C8, which it says will be limited to just 12 units. No price has been mentioned, but we imagine it won’t come cheap.
