The Noovo Next Is a Luxe Camper Van Designed for Overlanding

Going overlanding doesn’t mean you have to rough it.
Noovo has just unveiled its first all-wheel-drive camper van, the Next, which was designed specifically for trips that take you far off the beaten path. You’ll be able to enjoy the journey in comfort, too, thanks to a slew of luxe amenities and high-tech appliances.
The Las Vegas company’s latest offering is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500XD 170, which is the largest version of the ubiquitous camper van base. The Next is powered by a 1.95-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 211 hp and 332 ft lbs of torque, which is routed to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. It stretches 24.2 feet end-to-end, stands nine feet tall, and is capable of towing up to 7,500 pounds in case you want to bring some toys along for the ride with you. The van can also be customized with a Titan box, traction boards, a ladder, and a tire carrier so you have everything you need at hand.
The standard Springer 170 can comfortably sit three adults, but Noovos’s version was designed for a traveling party of two. This has allowed the company to maximize the space available in the vehicle’s sleek cabin and turn the van into something resembling a chic hotel room on wheels. The Next has a kitchenette and dinette positioned directly behind the driver and passenger seats, the former of which has two invisible burners integrated into its countertop for meal prep, a fridge, and a stainless-steel sink. There’s also a bathroom, which features a toilet and shower, two features you don’t always find in a camper van. Finally, there’s the sleeping area, a spacious room equipped with dual-use furniture and self-closing storage. The mattress also features a lift system so that you can maximize storage room without sacrificing comfort.
The van is also loaded with technology and appliances that will have you feeling at home, even in the middle of the desert. These include an efficient ducted AC system, Starlink satellite internet, and a Garmin control hub to monitor all the van’s many systems. A 51-volt Lithionics battery system, 6,600-Ah lithium-ion battery pack, and a 330-watt solar system also allow for off-the-grid operation, although Noovo doesn’t say how long the van can operate on its power reserve alone.
