Here’s yet more proof that no one makes bespoke automobiles like Roll-Royce.

The British luxury marque has just unveiled its latest one-off, the Cullinan Cosmos. The SUV comes fully loaded with a ridiculous amount of luxury details, including the brand’s first hand-painted Starlight headliner.

This very special Cullinan was commissioned by an unnamed customer who wanted to celebrate their and their four-year-old’s shared love of the universe, according to the automaker. The SUV’s muscular yet graceful exterior is finished in Arabescato Pearl. The “shimmering” hue alone would be enough for most, but not Rolls-Royce. The paint job is topped with a set of twin coachlines in Charles Blue. Rounding out the exterior details is an illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy that glows like a distant star when it’s dark out.

But you need to step inside the vehicle to truly appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it. Much of the calm and meditative cabin, including its four seats, is covered in Charles Blue leather with Grace White contrast stitching. Piano White veneer trim is meant to echo the high-gloss surface of a satellite casting. There’s also a unique Star Cluster motif that is painted onto the passenger side of the dashboard and embroidered into the headrests and door panels.

The Cullinan Cosmos’s most memorable feature, though, sits above the head of the driver and their passengers. The company has been installing dazzling Starlight headliners in its bespoke vehicles since the start of the decade, but it’s outdone itself here. The Cullinan Cosmos’s ceiling has the fiberoptic “stars” that are a trademark of the feature, along with a graphic interpretation of the Milky Way. That design, which took one of the company’s in-house artisans over 160 hours to create, was painted entirely freehand.

No technical details were included with the announcement, but all Cullinans come with a 6.7-liter mill that makes 563 hp and 627 ft lbs of torque (in the high-performance Black Badge model, the mill makes 592 hp). The Cullinan can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds, which is quite impressive for a vehicle of its size and heft.

Rolls-Royce hasn’t said how much the Cullinan Cosmos costs its owner. But, considering all the work that went into customizing the vehicle, we imagine it cost quite a bit more than the vehicle’s usual $410,350 starting price.
