The Vince Staples Show Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix

Netflix is staying in business with Vince Staples.

The streamer has handed out a second season renewal for The Vince Staples Show.

The five-episode scripted comedy from exec producer Kenya Barris was initially billed as a limited series. An episode count for season two has not yet been determined.

The Vince Staples Show is back! The people have spoken and the most riveting, captivating, and polarizing show on Netflix is returning for season two,” Staples said. “Get ready for hijinks that only a mother can love. Thank you, Netflix!”

Originally ordered to series in September 2022, the series is loosely inspired by the life of the rapper and was created by Staples, Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams.

The show debuted in February to warm reviews and currently has a 94 percent rating among critics and 91 percent score from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. In his review of the series, THR chief TV critic Daniel Fienberg said the show was “a promising work-in-progress, except that it’s ‘limited.’”
