Virtue Sells the First Genderless Jockstrap and $3,800 Underwear

Virtue is an LA-based intimates brand with a mission: create garments for anyone and everyone. Founded and designed by Yotam Solomon, the brand fosters a diverse, sex-positive community of individuals. In fact, Solomon says they make the first genderless jockstrap. And after Kristen Stewart’s recent Rolling Stone cover, this is all the more timely.

Virtue creates its products with what it calls a “True Unisex Fit,” meaning “sex is irrelevant when it comes to fit.” The Strap Briefs, for example, are sold both with and without a pouch. Sizes currently run from XXS to 4X, with the intention of introducing a wider range in the future.

And while Virtue sells briefs, thongs and tops, the brand’s most notable offerings are its hand-crafted precious metal and diamond fittings for its intimates, namely the platinum, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and diamond-encrusted adjustable straps and V-shaped buckles. Usually reserved for fine jewelry, these luxe materials emphasize the value of self-expression and authenticity.

The star of the show, Virtue’s signature Strap with Diamond Encrusted Platinum Hardware, is fitted with 22 grams of solid platinum hardware and adorned with 148 diamonds. It retails for $3,700 and is intended to pair with Virtue’s Strap Briefs. Other standouts include the Platinum V Buckle and Mint Straps with Yellow Gold Hardware, retailing for $785 and $950, respectively. To note, Virtue’s briefs do indeed come with standard straps — these are just if you’re seeking a little extra something-something. Shop the full inventory and color range on Virtue’s site.
