Todd English Is Opening a New Restaurant in Bentley Residences Miami

Those living in Bentley Residences Miami best prepare for English fare—and we’re not talking about pork pies or Scotch eggs.

Acclaimed American chef Todd English is opening an exclusive residents-only restaurant within the forthcoming branded tower in Sunny Isles Beach. The aptly named Proper English is set to begin welcoming residents and their guests in early 2028, offering up what the four-time James Beard winner describes as “unique culinary creations.”

English has built an impressive culinary empire, churning out multiple books, creating a cookware line, appearing on popular shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef, and, of course, running multiple venues. He opened restaurants Olives and Figs in multiple locations across the U.S., as well as the English Hotel and Pepper Club in Vegas. He also helms two international outposts: Jade in Bali and Todd English Pub & Market in Abu Dhabi. All that experience will be channeled into his latest venture.

“We’re thrilled to begin working on the planning for the restaurant and resident dining experiences,” English said in a statement.

Located on the lobby level of the beachfront tower, Proper English will afford views of the nearby pool and ocean in a typically Miami fashion, but will feel very, well, English throughout. Designed by Bentley, the interiors reflect the British marque’s signature elegance with fabrics and materials inspired by Continentals and the like. The high-gloss flooring, for example, evokes the nameplate’s trademark diamond quilting. Similarly, the dark palette, bold finishes, and backlit banquettes pack the punch of a Bentayga.

The restaurant will be open to residents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It will also offer private catering, chef demonstrations with English himself, poolside dining, and in-residence dining. The menus will rotate seasonally, with English putting his distinctive spin on the dishes. He is known for blending cuisines and merging global flavours. Think tuna tataki with tahini.

“We’re excited to provide a curated experience with rotating seasonal menus that will make dining at Bentley Residences Miami a joy for residents and their guests,” the chef adds.
